Line & Forward Maintenance
Line Maintenance Planning & Work Package Scheduling
Plan and schedule line maintenance in IFS Cloud Aviation Maintenance by reviewing all upcoming maintenance requirements (fleet due tasks, MEL deferred items, AD/SB/EO, unplanned faults and follow-on tasks) against the flight schedule, packaging them into work packages, assigning parts, and transferring scheduled packages to production for line execution.
Aircraft Turn Review & Line Work Management
Manage day-of-operations line maintenance work: review shift handover reports, monitor aircraft turns at the station, prepare for aircraft arrival, and assign technicians and resources to turn tasks. Uses IFS Cloud pages such as My Aircraft Turns, Station Turns and Aircraft Turn Details in the Forward/Line Maintenance solution.
Logbook Fault Reporting & Analysis
Capture pilot-reported and line-found defects as logbook faults, analyze them to determine corrective action and repair references, add part/skill/tool requirements, and either rectify, defer, or escalate to AOG management. Based on IFS Cloud process models 10.50 Handle Faults and 7.59 Analyze Faults.
MEL/CDL Fault Deferral & OPS Restriction Management
Defer faults that cannot be rectified before dispatch under MEL/CDL control: review open faults, check MEL/CDL applicability, identify cumulative restrictions, obtain approval to defer, record the deferral with category due dates and monitor tasks, and notify dispatch of operational restrictions. Based on IFS Cloud 7.51 MEL OPS Restriction Management and the Defer Fault flow.
Line Maintenance Task Execution & Work Recording (Mobile)
Execute planned and unplanned line maintenance tasks at the flight line via IFS Cloud Web and the IFS Maintenance for Aviation mobile app: load the published work package, acquire parts and tools, perform and record work with CMS configuration validation, capture measurements and fluid servicing, and complete independent inspection with digital signature.
Aircraft Release to Service & Airworthiness Evaluation
Release the aircraft from line maintenance back to operations: verify all tasks and faults are closed or properly deferred, evaluate airworthiness against MEL OPS restrictions and the airworthiness certificate, and record the release with certifying sign-off. Based on IFS Cloud 26R1 process model 10.31 Aircraft Release (Line).
Everything you can see here is real and current, the names, the structure and the counts come straight out of the ModelIFS library and change as it grows. What sits behind the license is the worked-out content itself: the execution steps, the data each one needs, the configuration decisions, the KPIs, the integration points, the workshop questions and the diagrams. That is the part you would otherwise spend a program building from nothing.
