Configuration & Extensibility
Custom Attributes & Entity Configuration
Extend standard IFS Cloud entities with customer-specific fields using Entity Configurations in Solution Manager. Custom attributes can be persistent (stored in generated custom-attribute tables) or read-only (reference, expression or SQL based), and are published and then surfaced on pages via Page Designer without code customization.
Custom Entities (Custom Logical Units)
Create entirely new data objects in IFS Cloud using Custom Entities on the Entity Configurations page - a configured equivalent of a simple standard data table. Custom entities get generated database objects and projections and can be attached to standard pages, extending the data model without core development.
Custom Events & Event Actions
Automate business reactions to data changes in IFS Cloud using events and event actions configured in Solution Manager. Custom Defined Events are configured per installation and executed technically via database triggers, while actions range from e-mails and application messages to online SQL, tasks, workflows and streams notifications.
Page Designer & Client Configurations
Tailor the IFS Cloud Web user experience without code using Page Designer and related client configurations: hide/move/relabel fields, add published custom attributes, add configured commands, and adjust page layouts. Configurations are layered on the standard page model and scoped to configuration contexts for different user groups.
Application Configuration Package Lifecycle Management
Govern the packaging, versioning, export and installation of IFS Cloud configurations (entity configurations, page configurations, events, quick reports, etc.) across environments using Application Configuration Packages (ACPs). ACPs provide the controlled path from build to test to production, installable via Solution Manager or the IFS installer.
Quick Reports & Ad-hoc Reporting
Deliver lightweight operational reporting in IFS Cloud through Quick Reports - SQL Statement or Query Designer based queries presented in table form to end users. Includes parameterization, security administration, scheduling and export/import, giving power users ad-hoc data access without full BI development.
Cybersecurity Control Evidence & Configuration Governance
Within IFS Cloud the defensible scope of this process is narrow and application-level: permission sets as the unit of authority, document access control over sensitive artefacts, Application Configuration Packages under Configuration Lifecycle Management as the controlled route for moving configuration into production, and Information Sources for evidence extraction. IFS also sells IFS Unified Support for ITAR, a support and hosting service providing operational and physical isolation, US-person support staff and Azure Government hosting - a contractual service, not a product certification. IFS Cloud is not a governance-risk-compliance tool: there is no system security plan, control catalogue, assessment, plan-of-action or incident-reporting object in the product, and no IFS capability claims compliance with any cybersecurity regulation on the customer's behalf.
Everything you can see here is real and current, the names, the structure and the counts come straight out of the ModelIFS library and change as it grows. What sits behind the license is the worked-out content itself: the execution steps, the data each one needs, the configuration decisions, the KPIs, the integration points, the workshop questions and the diagrams. That is the part you would otherwise spend a program building from nothing.
