Fixed Assets & Lease
Fixed Asset Object Setup & Acquisition
Create fixed asset objects, connect them to one or more depreciation books, and register acquisition value so the asset enters the depreciation lifecycle. Acquisitions may originate from manual entry, supplier invoices, or import of assets previously depreciated in another system.
Depreciation Processing (Multiple Books)
Calculate and post depreciation for fixed asset objects across multiple books, each with its own depreciation method. Depreciation is run via the Depreciation Proposal, and forecasted depreciation can be modeled through Depreciation Plans before posting.
Asset Disposal & Sale
Dispose of a fixed asset object by sale, scrap or transfer, writing off acquisition value, acquisition value adjustments and accumulated depreciation and posting profit/loss. Posting behavior varies by the disposal posting method (Gross Cost, Net Cost, Only Acc Depreciation) connected to each book.
Lease Accounting (IFRS 16 / ASC 842)
Account for lease/rental contracts from the lessee perspective under IFRS 16 and US GAAP ASC 842. IFS recognizes a lease liability at the present value of lease payments and a Right-of-Use asset, which is maintained as a fixed asset and depreciated via the Fixed Assets Depreciation Proposal.
Lease & Occupancy Cost Administration
Administers the property lease portfolio in IFS Cloud from lease abstraction through IFRS 16 / ASC 842 recognition, recurring rent and service charge payment, reconciliation challenge and critical-date decisions. Each lease is linked to the property Functional Object and to the occupying cost centres so that total occupancy cost is reportable per building and per business unit. This is the financial counterpart to the space register.
Fleet Acquisition & Capitalisation
Moves an approved fleet investment from capital request through purchase order receipt to a capitalised Fixed Asset object in IFS Cloud. The same physical machine is registered as a serialised Equipment Object carrying technical data and meter parameters, and flagged as a Company Rental Asset so it can be reserved and delivered on rental customer orders. Establishes the acquisition value, depreciation book and the financial-to-operational asset link that every later fleet process depends on.
Fleet Disposal & Sale from Fleet
Retires a unit from the rental fleet and converts it to cash. Covers the de-fleet decision from age, utilisation, maintenance cost and residual value, disposal approval, sale-prep refurbishment, the chosen sale channel, and the Fixed Asset disposal posting that recognises gain or loss against net book value. Compliance records must travel with the machine when it leaves the business.
Everything you can see here is real and current, the names, the structure and the counts come straight out of the ModelIFS library and change as it grows. What sits behind the license is the worked-out content itself: the execution steps, the data each one needs, the configuration decisions, the KPIs, the integration points, the workshop questions and the diagrams. That is the part you would otherwise spend a program building from nothing.
