MPS & MRP
Master Production Scheduling (MPS)
Turns forecasts and actual demand into a master production plan in IFS Cloud Master Scheduling. MS Level 1 calculation nets actual demand against unconsumed forecast, applies lot sizing, safety stock and time fences, and generates MS proposals that can convert to shop order/purchase requisitions and feed MRP as dependent demand.
Material Requirements Planning (MRP) Run
Executes the Perform Site MRP calculation, which processes on-hand, demand and supply level by level from the lowest low-level code. It nets demand against available supply, reschedules existing receipts, generates planned receipts, explodes component demand and produces order proposals (shop/purchase requisitions, production/supplier schedules, distribution orders).
Planned Order Generation & Release
The final MRP phase where time-phased planned receipts are converted into order proposals and then released to execution. Proposal type is driven by part type, default supply type and the Proposal Release setting: shop order requisitions / production schedules for manufactured parts, purchase requisitions / supplier schedules for purchased parts, and distribution orders for multi-site planned parts.
Netting & Pegging
Covers MRP netting (available supply allocated against requirements day by day, on-hand first then receipts) and pegging traceability. Planners use MRP Part Information Top Down to see gross requirements and MRP Part Information - Bottom Up to trace a demand back to its originating supply/order.
Safety Stock / Reorder Point Planning
Covers re-order-point-driven replenishment in IFS Cloud using planning methods B (Order Point) and C (Replenishment Level), plus safety stock parameters. These parts are excluded from MRP and are replenished via the Perform Order Proposal task when on-hand falls below the order point.
MRP Exception / Action Message Handling
Planners review and act on MRP action messages (e.g. Reschedule In/Out via Early Order / Late Order, Remove Order, Need Orders, Negative Projected Onhand, buffer Red/Yellow/Black alerts) using the MRP Action Proposals pages and the MRP Action Proposals Workbench, with filtering via MRP Message Filter.
Production Planning against Contract Delivery Schedule
IFS Cloud Master Scheduling turns contract delivery quantities into forecasts on MS Level 1 parts and generates supply proposals that respect lot sizing, safety stock and safety lead time, with actual demand consuming the forecast. Demand and Planning Time Fences determine when proposals become fixed and when shop order or purchase requisitions may be created, and MS proposals explode through the manufacturing structure to feed MRP for subassemblies and purchased components. Where a contract must be planned in isolation, project master scheduling runs in the same pages separated by a project planned netting group value rather than an asterisk.
Everything you can see here is real and current, the names, the structure and the counts come straight out of the ModelIFS library and change as it grows. What sits behind the license is the worked-out content itself: the execution steps, the data each one needs, the configuration decisions, the KPIs, the integration points, the workshop questions and the diagrams. That is the part you would otherwise spend a program building from nothing.
