Create & Enter Purchase Requisition

Capture the demand for parts, non-inventory parts or services as a purchase requisition in IFS Cloud, either entered manually by any user or generated automatically from customer orders, material requisitions, MRP/order proposals, shop orders, DOP structures and projects. The requisition is a proposal to the purchaser and does not yet cause parts to be bought.

Purchase Requisition Authorization & Release

Release purchase requisition lines and route them for authorization based on purchase requisition authorization rules and authorization routing templates. Authorization is required when an applicable rule exists for a line, and covers individual, group, position, project-role, requisitioner and buyer authorizers with multi-step routing, substitution, forwarding and rejection.

Convert Requisition to Purchase Order or RFQ

Convert released (and where required authorized) purchase requisition lines into a purchase order or a request for order quotation. The system can add lines to the first available or a given purchase order, or create a new order, and supports express orders that auto-create and release purchase orders as soon as lines are fully authorized.

Sourcing via Request for Order Quotation & Supplier Selection

Source parts and services by entering a request for order quotation, sending it to multiple suppliers, capturing their returned terms, and comparing quotations to select the most favorable. The accepted quotation is converted to a new or existing purchase order (or to a supplier agreement), with rejection letters issued to unsuccessful suppliers.

Employee Self-Service Procurement

Enable any employee to raise procurement requests through a guided Self-service Procurement Portal that surfaces published catalogs, hosted supplier catalogs, punchout webshops and free-text options. Submitted shopping carts generate purchase or material requisitions, and can be tied to work orders or projects, with catalog content maintained through back-end self-service procurement catalogs.

Procurement Strategy & Package Award

Covers how a construction contractor breaks the works into procurement packages, takes them to market, evaluates returns and awards, using the IFS Cloud procurement chain of purchase requisition, request for quotation, quotation comparison and purchase order or supplier agreement. It links the procurement schedule to the programme so packages are let in time to meet activity start dates. Package award is where the tender allowance is converted into a committed cost against the project cost breakdown structure.

What a license opens

Everything you can see here is real and current, the names, the structure and the counts come straight out of the ModelIFS library and change as it grows. What sits behind the license is the worked-out content itself: the execution steps, the data each one needs, the configuration decisions, the KPIs, the integration points, the workshop questions and the diagrams. That is the part you would otherwise spend a program building from nothing.
