RFQ & Supplier Quotation
Create Request for Order Quotation
Create and prepare a Request for Order Quotation (RFQ) in IFS Cloud Procurement to solicit prices, delivery dates and terms from one or more suppliers before committing to a purchase order. The RFQ header and part/service lines are entered on the Request for Order Quotation page, or generated by converting a purchase requisition or an existing supplier agreement.
Communicate RFQ to Suppliers
Select the suppliers on a Request for Order Quotation, release the request, and communicate it to those suppliers by print or e-mail. B2B suppliers can receive and answer the communicated RFQ directly in the IFS Supplier Self-Service (B2B) portal, line by line or for the whole request, up to the latest reply date.
Register & Compare Supplier Order Quotations
Enter the terms returned by suppliers against the RFQ lines and compare them to identify the most favorable quotation. Quotation data can be keyed manually on the Order Quotation page, captured through Scan Order Quotation, or answered by B2B suppliers, and comparison is performed on the Order Quotation Approval / Approvals pages, optionally assisted by the IFS.ai Copilot for Supplier Quotation Evaluation.
Approve or Reject Order Quotation (Award)
Award the sourcing decision by approving the winning order quotation line(s) and rejecting the rest. Approval sets quotation lines to Approved status (the prerequisite for conversion), while rejected lines can trigger printed or e-mailed rejection letters to unsuccessful suppliers; an approval can also be revoked if the decision changes.
Convert Order Quotation to Purchase Order or Supplier Agreement
Convert Approved order quotation line(s) into purchase order(s) or, for agreement quotations, into a purchase agreement or blanket purchase order. Conversion can create a new PO, add to an existing PO, create a change order, or let the system add lines to the first available PO; converted lines receive Converted status and new POs are created in Planned status.
Supplier Qualification & Approved Supplier List Control
IFS Cloud controls who may be bought from through approved suppliers lists, which define the purchase authorization process for parts in a purchase group on a particular site. When a supplier holds approved status on the list and the Approved Until date has not passed, purchases of parts in that purchase group do not require authorization according to the defined authorization template; once the date passes the supplier is treated as unapproved and purchases require authorization again. Ongoing qualification is supported by the Supplier Performance Evaluation and Rating process with evaluation setup, supplier evaluation templates, KPI groups and KPIs; certification-body accreditation content (for example AS9100 or Nadcap scope) is not documented IFS functionality in the sources reviewed here.
Everything you can see here is real and current, the names, the structure and the counts come straight out of the ModelIFS library and change as it grows. What sits behind the license is the worked-out content itself: the execution steps, the data each one needs, the configuration decisions, the KPIs, the integration points, the workshop questions and the diagrams. That is the part you would otherwise spend a program building from nothing.
