Shipment & Transportation
Shipment Management
Execute outbound goods dispatch through the IFS Cloud Shipment process: initiate shipments, connect source lines from customer orders/shipment orders, reserve, pick, define handling unit structure, print shipment documents, deliver, and close ready for invoicing.
Transportation Planning & Load Building
Plan and consolidate outbound transport in IFS Cloud using the Consolidated Shipment to group multiple shipments into one departure, compare weight/volume against transport capacity, sequence loads and coordinate a common forwarder and route.
Delivery Note & Export Documentation
Produce shipping and export documents in IFS Cloud - delivery note, consignment note, pack list, bill of lading, address label, handling unit labels and pro forma invoice - from the shipment, and capture export data such as the customs export declaration number that flows to invoice/tax lines.
Materials Delivery & Site Logistics
Manages the physical arrival of materials onto a construction site in IFS Cloud: call-off against awarded packages, booking the delivery into a constrained site slot, registering the purchase order arrival, checking quantity and condition, and either accepting the goods to project stock or rejecting the load. It closes the loop between the delivery ticket signed at the gate and the goods receipt that authorises supplier payment. Site logistics constraints such as gate slots, crane and hoist availability and waste removal are managed alongside the receipt.
Waste Management & Recycling
Controls the classification, segregation, collection, transfer and reporting of all waste arising across the estate. IFS Cloud schedules collections as recurring Work Orders against bin store Functional Objects, holds registered carriers and permitted facilities as Suppliers under Supplier Agreements, and stores transfer documentation as Documents for the statutory retention period. Tonnage and segregation data drive recycling rate reporting and evidence the waste hierarchy duty.
Offshore Logistics & Personnel on Board (POB)
Plans and controls the movement of people and freight to and from offshore installations and remote sites against a hard bed limit. In IFS Cloud each mobilisation is traced back to the Work Order or Project that justifies the trip, eligibility is gated on Employee competency and certificate validity, and material moving on the same voyage is planned through Shipment records. The POB manifest itself has no standard IFS object and is held as a Document or in a specialist logistics system.
Equipment Delivery & Customer Handover
Moves a delivery-ready machine from the dealer yard to the customer site and formally transfers responsibility. The Customer Order line is reserved, picked and shipped, and for rent-out lines a Mobilization Code on the sales part creates the mobilization Work Order and Work Tasks at reservation. Delivery of the serialized part establishes the object at the customer and sets the customer warranty valid-from date, after which operator familiarization, the signed handover pack and either invoicing or rental start close the process.
Check-Out Inspection & Transport Dispatch
Prepares the allocated unit for hire and physically releases it to the customer site in IFS Cloud. The mobilisation work order raised at reservation is executed, the pre-delivery inspection records the condition baseline that later damage recharge will be measured against, and the rental customer order line is then picked and delivered exactly as a normal customer order line. Delivery triggers the start of the chargeable rental period, either automatically from the planned rental start or actual ship date and time, or manually from Manage Rentals.
Transport Planning & Logistics
Plans and executes the movement of fleet between depot, customer site and workshop. IFS Cloud Shipment groups delivery and collection demand by receiver, address, ship-via and delivery terms, and consolidated shipments represent a single vehicle departure with transport capacity, route, forwarder and load sequence. Mobilisation work orders, shipping documents and the freight booking message are produced from the same flow, and delivery starts the rental clock.
Biosolids Hauling & Disposal Tracking
Tracks every batch of biosolids from the dewatering plant through analysis, haulage and final land application, landfill or incineration, with the monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting evidence the federal sewage sludge rule requires. In IFS Cloud the batch is carried as an Inventory Part with a lot reference, the haulier is a Supplier under a Supplier Agreement, and each consignment is recorded as a shipment against an approved destination. The process exists because 40 CFR Part 503 is self-implementing - the requirements apply whether or not a permit has been issued.
Everything you can see here is real and current, the names, the structure and the counts come straight out of the ModelIFS library and change as it grows. What sits behind the license is the worked-out content itself: the execution steps, the data each one needs, the configuration decisions, the KPIs, the integration points, the workshop questions and the diagrams. That is the part you would otherwise spend a program building from nothing.
