Meter Set Installation & Exchange
Covers installing a new gas meter set and exchanging meters at end of life, on periodic change-out, or on AMI upgrade, executed in IFS Cloud as Work Orders against the serialised meter install base. The meter and regulator are handled as Serial Objects mounted on the premise Functional Object so the removed and installed serials, index readings and seal numbers form an auditable chain. The process closes when the exchange is posted to CIS and the removed meter is dispositioned to test or scrap.
Gas Meter Reading & AMI Exception Handling
Covers the recurring cycle of collecting gas meter reads from AMI, AMR or manual routes, validating them, and converting the failures into field work in IFS Cloud. Readings land as Measurement / Parameter values against the meter Serial Object so consumption history, tamper indications and communication faults sit alongside the maintenance history of the same device. Exceptions that cannot be resolved in the back office become Service Requests or Work Orders scheduled through PSO.
Cathodic Protection Annual Survey & Remediation
Drives the statutory external corrosion control cycle in IFS Cloud: annual pipe-to-soil testing at intervals not exceeding 15 months, bi-monthly rectifier and interference bond checks, and prompt remediation of any deficiency. Readings are captured as Measurements against CP test points and rectifiers held as Functional or Serial Objects, and out-of-criteria results automatically raise remediation Work Orders inside the mandated completion window.
Cathodic Protection Test Point & Rectifier Inspection
Inspection and reading of cathodic protection test points and rectifiers (O&M-INSP-18/20) across the buried pipeline network to verify corrosion protection levels, triggering CP remediation or rectifier repair where readings are out of range.
Gas Leak Repair
Manages leak repairs per compliance and O&M procedures. The repair WO is auto-created with compliance dates in EAM, prepared with permits (street-opening, 811 dig-safe) based on leak grade, and assigned to a field crew who document repair details and asset condition. Completion feeds EAM which auto-generates the repair-recheck WO and posts costs to a financial WO.
Distribution Main Leak Repair
Corrective repair of leaks on distribution mains (O&M-CM-09) triggered by survey findings, executed under permits with crew excavation, repair/replacement and restoration documentation.
Pressure Regulation & Overpressure Protection Testing
Covers the annual compliance cycle for pressure limiting stations, pressure regulating stations, relief devices and customer-side overpressure protection, run in IFS Cloud from a Maintenance Plan / PM Action against the regulating asset register. Each device is a Functional Object or Equipment Object carrying set pressure, relief pressure and MAOP attributes, and each inspection posts its results as Measurement / Parameter values so drift is visible over time. Out-of-tolerance findings raise a Fault Report and a corrective Work Order before the compliance record is closed.
Gas Leak Recheck
Enables reinspection of open leaks at compliance-driven intervals. The recheck WO is auto-created with compliance dates in the EAM Leak Management application, dispatched via PSO, and the technician documents current gas readings and leak grade against previous readings, feeding EAM which auto-generates the next recheck WO.
Gas Leak Repair Recheck
Enables reinspection of completed leak repairs per compliance regulations. The task is auto-created with compliance dates in EAM, assigned via PSO, and the technician documents gas readings and leak grade at the repair location. If readings remain, the leak repair process restarts; otherwise the leak is closed.
Distribution Main Leak Survey
Cyclical (1/3/5-year) leak survey of distribution mains (O&M-INSP-09) walking or driving the network to detect gas leaks, documenting readings and grading discovered leaks to trigger the leak repair process.
Distribution Integrity Management Program (DIMP)
Establishes and runs the written distribution integrity management programme required by 49 CFR 192 Subpart P on top of the IFS Cloud asset register. System knowledge is held on Linear Assets and Functional Objects, threats are evidenced from leak, corrosion, patrol and excavation-damage history, and the resulting risk-reduction measures are released as Maintenance Plans and Work Orders. Performance measures are aggregated from Work Order and Fault Report outcomes for the annual PHMSA submission.
Transmission Integrity Management Program (TIMP)
Runs the gas transmission integrity management programme required by 49 CFR 192 Subpart O against the IFS Cloud linear asset model. Covered HCA segments are flagged on Linear Assets, baseline and reassessment plans are scheduled as Maintenance Plans, and anomalies found during assessment drive remediation Work Orders inside the mandated response clocks. Assessment results, management-of-change and quality-assurance evidence are retained as linked Documents.
Pipeline Risk Assessment & Threat Identification
The shared analytical engine beneath DIMP and TIMP: gathers and integrates pipeline attribute data, classifies threats into the ASME B31.8S categories, scores a threat register and pushes the resulting rank back onto IFS Cloud Linear Asset segments as Criticality. Accepted risk-reduction activities leave the process as Maintenance Plans and Work Orders, closing the loop between analysis and field execution.
Everything you can see here is real and current, the names, the structure and the counts come straight out of the ModelIFS library and change as it grows. What sits behind the license is the worked-out content itself: the execution steps, the data each one needs, the configuration decisions, the KPIs, the integration points, the workshop questions and the diagrams. That is the part you would otherwise spend a program building from nothing.
